It’s true.
Life is short, like we were all a new born child,
Eyes awakening to the sight of this world we know so well.
Eyes blinded by the light, hands feeling for a way in life.
And here we are today, standing on our own two feet!
Twenty years gone by… it’s like I’ve barely blinked an eye.
Time I said goodbye to all that has gone by,
Open up my arms to all that I’ve yet to try.
So now I think it’s time I start to fly,
like the birds there floating through the sky,
Wind at my back I see no reason why I should not try,
like in closing my eyes I see your smile so bright.
I know that in my mind…there remains so much mystery,
but what would life be were I to know too much??
I’m still learning as the world keeps turning,
my mind is in touch with my heart…like God meant it to be,
and I love every minute, now that you’re in it!
Life is short,
but, we’ve got time, so much time!
